Blogs, Tech, Cool Phone Apps

8 May

No one can dispute the fact that technology is a constantly evolving industry and it’s almost hard to keep up with how much it changes from a day to day basis.  In the past couple of years though, the adoption of the smart phone has been very high and now even my parents use the smartphone. They send me texts and emails and ask me about the newest apps and it makes me so happy the way technology has brought pleasant changes to the way we connect and share with our friends and families and I think that makes this a worthy topic to blog about.

As Nina mentioned in her blog entry today, I am very much in love with Instagram as well. For those of you who don’t know, Instagram is a fun and free application that allows you to share your photos with friends and family. You simple snap a picture, choose a filter/frame to transform its look and feel, then post to Instagram where you can share pictures and also follow other people (including celebs and famous peeps as well). It’s as cute and easy as pie.

Anyways, I had always admired those iPhone user’s ability to upload artsy totally glammed-out vintage photos online. However, now I don’t have to be envious of them anymore! Instagram recently made their app available in Google Play Store and now both iPhone and Android users can have access to this cool tool.

Below is an example of how Instagram can “beautify” a normal picture that I took.

However, another cool application for cell phone users that I absolutely love is called “Pulse”. This free application is basically a reading tool that helps you keep up with your favorite blogs, like ninasquared for example and all of your favorite websites. Pulse organizes your favorite websites into “interactive mosaics” so you can easily read, save, and keep up with your news, blogs, and websites.

Oh and my instagram ID is ninaypark, in case you were wondering. 😉

Good luck and best wishes to Nina E., while she goes through her finals!!
